A 20/20 Vision for SA

So, what lies ahead in this year Twenty Twenty Perhaps it will be an abundance of plenty Plenty more laughs and moments of bliss And smiles so wide like a teen’s new year kiss!

If Twenty/Twenty means to have perfect sight May this be the time of less dark and more light Could we find our way with a far clearer vision With mindful thought placed on every decision?

My wish for us all is that we climb with more clarity To a much better future with far less disparity Could we rise above the haze of the maze And become the focus of the worlds smiling gaze?

For we still live in this incredible Nation And we will win back the world’s admiration Let’s continue to build on the wins from last year And walk forward with meaning and not held back by fear.

May this year ahead bring you moments to savour As South Africa rises back into favour For we must press on, there’s no time to waste As our cultural flavours find our own unique taste.

Stay open and curious and way less judgmental Greet people with grace, be kind and be gentle For if we’re to rise, it should be no surprise That perfect sight starts when we cleanse our own eyes.

May there be many more reasons for #imstaying I know I’m not leaving, #justsaying There’s too much to love in this land of my birth This country still could be the greatest on Earth.
